How to transfer contacts between iPhone and Android

Thare was a time when we had not any opportunity to transferring contacts from one mobile platform to another. This meant manually typing in countless contact names and numbers. Today its a good news to us that, our smartphones advanced operating system ( like Android & iOS) can do most of this type work for us. I will show you, how to move contacts iPhone to Android.

Here’s how can transfer contacts between iPhone and Android >>

1. Exporting contacts from iCloud

Apple’s own iCloud synchronization service can come in handy for transferring contacts from an iPhone to an Android. To do this, go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars, and then select ‘iCloud’ from account options. Then select contacts to sync your contacts with the iCloud account.

Then, sign into your iCloud account on your computer and click contacts. Once you get the next screen, select all contacts. Now click the gear icon at the bottom of the page and click Export vCard. And choose your desired location. This will download as VCF file and you can imported it your Android phone or any new Smartphone.

2. Using Google account

Since you are moving to an Android device, it’s almost a given you’ll be using a Google account. Login to your Google account ( If you haven’t, then create one). Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars> Add Acoount and add the Google account there. When asked what information is to be synced with the account, make sure that you select Contacts. Synchronization may take a while. When finished, you can check the list of contacts in your Google account.

3. Transferring With Google Contacts

In this mathod, First you have to follow the method (1.Exporting contacts from iCloud).

Then, log in to your Google account. Click on the Gmail logo, located at the top left corner of your dashboard and select contacts. Click the More  in dropdown menu then click Import. And then upload your vCard file.

And clcking import again the contacts will be automatically synced to your Android, if your device connected to this account.

4. Using App

If you don’t want to follow those method, there are a large of contacts backup apps that can help you get the contacts from an iPhone or an Android phone. Download the backup app as wish. Just go to your contacts backup app and Backup your contact. It will be save as a VCF file. Then send it to your email and import it your Phone.

5. Using iTunes

In this method, you have to connect your iPhone with your computer. Launch iTunes and go to the iPhone option at the top. Click the Info tab, then check the Sync Contacts with option and select Google Contacts. Type your Google account’s username and password and hit the Sync iPhone option.
